Career Teachers are currently supporting a mainstream secondary school in central Manchester who are looking to appoint a Teacher of Geography to join their team from September 2024, on a permanent basis. This school is part of an outstanding multi academy trust who have an excellent reputation in the Greater Manchester area.

The school are seeking ambitious and committed Geography Teachers who can make a substantial impact on their continuous improvement. They are looking for candidates with a passion for Geography and the ability to deliver an innovative curriculum at key stages 3 and 4.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following characteristics:

● Evidence of good quality teaching and subject knowledge

● a commitment to high standards and outcomes

● an understanding of how to use assessment to inform planning for excellent teaching and learning

● the ability to differentiate materials to meet the needs of the learners

● evidence of good classroom management skills

To be considered, you must have a teaching qualification, hold Qualified Teacher Status, and have Geography teaching experience across key stage 3 and key stage 4. ECT’s will be considered. You must also have right to work in the UK.
