Career Teachers are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher (must hold QTS/QTLS) starting September 2024. This is a temporary role with a view to becoming permanent from January 2025 or sooner.

Key Responsibilities of Geography Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons at key stage 3 and 4 in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students interests in geography
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
  • Assess and monitor students progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the geography curriculum and participate in school activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Geography, Humanities, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Geography at key stage 3 and 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their personal best.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
  • Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
