Job Coach for Students with Special Educational Needs

About the Role:

Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Job Coach to support students with special educational needs. This full-time role involves working part of the week in a school setting and part of the week in various workplaces. The successful candidate will assist learners in completing their daily tasks and work placements, ensuring they gain valuable skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist students in developing job-related skills and completing daily tasks.
  • Facilitate work placements and ensure a smooth transition between school and workplace environments.
  • Collaborate with teachers, employers, and other stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in both school and workplace settings.
