Career Teachers are supporting a mainstream secondary school in Tameside, Greater Manchester, who wish to appoint a Learning Support Assistant as soon as possible on a permanent basis.

Due to increased student numbers and needs, the school are seeking to recruit motivated individuals to work with students who have a range of learning difficulties. This is a challenging and varied role and an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person. Experience is not essential but good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with adults and children are important. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support children and young people across the whole school, working at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in class, and within the SEN department delivering small group intervention lessons.

We are seeking applications from enthusiastic graduates and experienced Learning Support Assistants who believe in a strong team ethic, have a passion for learning and development, can set high expectations for themselves and others, and are flexible and adaptable. Candidates are required to have at least grade 4/C English and
grade D/3 Maths GCSE or equivalent.
