This would be an exciting role which involves supporting students both within the classroom and in the community.
* Experience of working with children, particularly those with SEN (ASD/SLD/PMLD)
* Experience of working within the care industry (child or adult)
* A can-do attitude and a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom
* The ability to use initiative and work well under pressure
* The ability to communicate effectively with the children and other staff members
* Strong understanding of the requirement to support pupils with additional needs
* Personal Care required including feeding & changing
* Team Teach – Training will be provided
* Experience supporting young people with SEN would be advantageous
* Training in manual handling and hoisting (desired but not essential)
* Adaptability, be motivated and able to take initiative
