We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher with a specialism in French or Spanish to join a dynamic team in Manchester. Key Responsibilities of a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French or Spanish lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Develop students language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking through varied and interactive teaching methods
  • Assess and monitor students progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing targeted support where needed
  • Contribute to the MFL department’s curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives
  • Participate in school events, parents evenings, and extra-curricular activities, including language clubs, trips, and cultural exchanges
  • Uphold high standards of classroom management, encouraging a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements of a Modern Foreign Language (MFL) Teacher:

  • PGCE and QTS with a specialisation in MFL, preferably French or Spanish
  • Proven experience teaching French or Spanish at the secondary level, with a track record of strong student outcomes
  • Strong command of both French and/or Spanish languages, with the ability to teach additional languages being advantageous
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed on educational best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, flexible, and proactive approach
