Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Location: Derby

Salary: £12-£13 per hour (dependent on experience)

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 6 months to 4 years in a safe and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

– Create a nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported.

– Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to foster a sense of belonging and community.

– Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and communicating effectively with parents/carers.

– Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care, following safeguarding procedures and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.

– Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (or equivalent).

– Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and experience implementing it in practice.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

– A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
