an exciting opportunity has arisen for teaching assistants to join a primary autistic school on a part-time basis. Students between 4 and 11 years old with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Some of the students may also have additional sensory or physical impairments or challenging behaviour.

As a Teaching assistant at this autistic primary school, you will be responsible for providing learning support to individuals and groups while supporting teaching staff. You will be supporting, using a mix of resources to inspire pupil’s understanding, focusing on their early on early communication, interaction and the cognitive skills that are important for development and learning.
