Primary Cover Teacher – Years 1-6

Career Teachers are recruiting passionate and qualified Teachers to work in a range of Primary Schools in the Wakefield Education Authority. Successful applicants can work on a full time or part time basis.

Career Teachers support a range of schools including Independent, SEN and Faith Schools.

Career Teachers are currently working with a number of schools in Wakefield. These Primary Schools are looking for reliable and engaging KS1 and KS2 Teachers cover to support the staff team over the coming months from after October half term through to Spring term.

You will be supporting in different classes covering PPA and absence across the schools. Work will be planned, but marking will be expected.

ECTs and NQTs are encouraged to apply.

As part of this role, you will be required to:

• Meet the Professional Standards for Teachers.
• Play a full part in the life of the trust community and support its ethos, values and aims.

The successful candidate must:

• Be an excellent classroom practitioner, in terms of challenging gifted pupils, supporting special needs and creatively organising the learning environment
• Have high expectations and a commitment to raising standards and achievements.
• Have recent teaching experience in Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Have a secure knowledge and understanding of the primary framework and pedagogy.
• Be passionate about the development of the whole child.
