Career Teachers are seeking a passionate and dedicated Psychology / Sociology Teacher (must hold QTS/QTLS) on a temporary basis starting September 2024. This role is located in North Birmingham and offers a unique opportunity to inspire and educate students in the field of Social Sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Psychology and Sociology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Psychology and Sociology curricula.
  • The additional experience of teaching RE would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
  • Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
