Career Teachers are looking to appoint an experienced Art Technician for a North Solihull based secondary school starting September 2024.

Art Technician

Full time, 5 days per week

Temporary, term time only – potential permanent opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic technician to join our schools staff team and support their mission of nurturing young artists.

Responsibilities of the role include:

As an Art technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the art department. You will work closely with art teachers and students, providing technical assistance and ensuring that all resources and materials are available and in good condition. Your organisational skills and passion for art, will help create a stimulating and productive learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Art related degree (desirable)
  • Minimum of one-year experience as an Art technician in a secondary school setting.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
  • Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
  • Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
