Job Advertisement: HR Officer – North Leeds School

**Location:** North Leeds

**Position:** HR Officer (Full-time)

**Start Date:** As soon as possible

**Salary:** Dependent on experience

**Contract:** Initially through Career Teachers, with the potential for a permanent contract with the school.

We are looking for a dedicated and proactive HR Officer to join our vibrant school community in North Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, providing essential HR support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

– Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries and advice.

– Support SLT with attendance management, including monitoring staff absence and liaising on sickness and return-to-work processes.

– Assist with the recruitment process, from posting job advertisements to onboarding new staff.

– Conduct risk assessments and support the development of school policies in line with HR and legal requirements.

– Provide administrative support across various HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the school’s HR processes.

Requirements:

– Previous HR experience, ideally within an educational or public sector setting.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to offer clear HR advice and support.

– Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

– Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

– A proactive, flexible approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role will initially be through Career Teachers, with the potential for a permanent contract directly with the school after a successful period.
