Career Teachers are seeking a qualified Teacher (must hold QTS / QTLS) with experience of teaching Science at KS3 and 4, for a secondary school based in North Birmingham. This is a full-time, temporary role to start September 2024. This position is suitable for an experienced or ECT Science Teacher.

You will be working in a vibrant and inclusive secondary school who are dedicated to academic excellence and the creative talents of their students. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and foster a love for literature and language.

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and share best practices.
• Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Science or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum KS3-4
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS check on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
• Have up-to-date safeguarding training; Career Teachers offer FREE online Safeguarding training
• Provide a full 10-year career history and references to cover the last 2 years including current and previous employers.
