We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a supportive team on a permanent basis starting in January 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Trafford. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a love for science, encouraging critical thinking, and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, innovative science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Monitor and assess student’s progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and extra-curricular opportunities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and best teaching practices

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in a science-related subject
  • Experience teaching science at secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4)
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for education and a commitment to continuous professional development
