A secondary school in Swinton, Salford, wish to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant on a permanent basis as soon as possible.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work with teachers to organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. The primary focus is to undertake specified work with individuals, groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a school environment, supporting and making a difference to young people’s lives.

The successful candidate will possess good communication, literacy and numeracy skills. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement with enthusiasm and adaptability. Your positive outlook and a willingness to be fully involved in school life will ensure you thrive in this role.

To be considered you –

  • will have a Teaching Assistant qualification
  • will have experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school
  • will have a minimum of Grade C or higher in English and Mathematics at GCSE level or equivalent
  • will ideally hold a relevant A Level Science qualification
  • will ideally hold a postgraduate Science qualification
