Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated Secondary School Teacher to join a fantastic Special Needs School in Leeds, working with learners with autism at KS3 and KS4. This is a full-time, long-term position, starting as soon as possible and continuing for the rest of the academic year.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with autism in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
– Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment to foster the personal and academic growth of all students.
– Collaborate with the school’s SEN team, parents, and external professionals to ensure students receive the best possible education and care.
– Manage classroom behaviour effectively, adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
– Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to ensure continued development.
**Requirements:**
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Experience working with students with autism or other special educational needs.
– Strong communication and teamwork skills.
– A genuine passion for working in special education.
– Ability to start immediately and commit to the role for the full academic year.
