Secondary Teacher – Social Sciences & Humanities

Location: Havering and Surrounding Areas
Salary: MPS1-UPS3 (Inner/Outer London) – £37,870-£62,496 per annum
Start Date: ASAP, April 2026, or September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term or permanent

Career Teachers is working with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in East London seeking enthusiastic Social Science and Humanities Teachers. We are looking for specialists in subjects such as History, Geography, Sociology, Psychology, RE, Politics and related disciplines, who can deliver high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about their subject area, committed to promoting critical thinking, and eager to inspire students to engage with the world around them.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK‑recognised equivalent
  • Experience teaching Social Sciences and/or Humanities at KS3 & KS4
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to student progress, inclusion, and high-quality teaching
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive department
