SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in South London, supporting pupils aged 5 to 19 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school prides itself on creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 4:00pm
Location: South London
Start Date: ASAP

We welcome applications from:
- Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants
- Individuals with previous experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs
- Those with a strong understanding of behaviour management and tailored learning strategies
Your role will include:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in the classroom and during activities
- Assisting the teacher in delivering tailored lessons and interventions
- Helping create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and progress in every child
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support holistic development
Requirements:
- Previous SEN experience (school or similar setting)
- A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us)
- Two employment references covering the last 24 months
