Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting students with special educational needs, promoting an inclusive learning environment, and helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of tailored educational activities for students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support students in developing social skills and managing their behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEN best practices and strategies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is essential.
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
