Pay: £93-£105 per day (PAYE / Umbrella Options Available)
Hours: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term (Monday-Friday, term-time only)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work across secondary schools in East London, supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly Autism (ASD). This role is ideal for someone available to start immediately and able to commit to continuing into the September 2026 academic year.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students access learning, manage behaviour, and develop key social and emotional skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 SEN support, with a focus on ASD
  • Support pupils’ learning and engagement in the classroom
  • Assist teachers with Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 months SEN experience in a UK school or similar setting
  • ASD support experience essential
  • Level 3 qualification or degree preferred
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • Available for an immediate start and to continue from September 2026
