Join our dynamic team in Derby as a SEND Teaching Assistant starting in September 2024! This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Pay: £85 – £100 per day

Role and Responsibilities:
– Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEND, assisting with their academic, social, and emotional development.
– Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
– Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
– Assist with classroom activities, including preparation of materials and resources.
– Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

General Skills Required:
– Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEND, is desirable but not essential.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
– Patience, empathy, and a compassionate nature to support students with diverse needs.
– Adaptability and resilience to handle the challenges and rewards of working in a dynamic educational setting.
– A positive attitude and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students.
