Pay Scale: £95 – £110 per day

Career Teachers are seeking a compassionate, resilient and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils across two specialist sites within a warm, welcoming, and exceptionally supportive educational environment.

About the Role

This is a rewarding, hands-on position working with children who have a range of additional needs. You will be based across two specialist sites:

• Site 1: Supporting children with complex autism, using structured routines, communication aids, sensory regulation strategies, and personalised approaches.
• Site 2: Working with children who present with a wide range of complex needs and disabilities, supporting communication, social development, emotional regulation, physical needs, and access to learning.

Across both sites, you will work closely with experienced staff who foster a positive and nurturing culture where all team members feel valued and supported. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about SEND and eager to contribute meaningfully to pupils’ progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent, high‑quality support to pupils with diverse and complex needs
• Build trusting relationships with children, encouraging engagement, independence and confidence
• Implement EHCP targets, personalised learning plans, sensory strategies and communication systems
• Support teaching staff with structured activities, small-group work and 1:1 interventions
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation through patience, positivity, and clear boundaries
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider pastoral teams across both sites

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly autism or complex needs (desirable)
• A patient, empathetic and flexible approach to meeting pupil needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships
• A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learners
• A current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
