SEN Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with Special Educational Needs for a primary school in Romford.

This would be a full-time, long-term post starting in May 2024 and will last until the end of the academic year with possibility for extension into September 2024.

Supporting a Year 5 child with SEMH needs, you will have experience helping the child to regulate their emotions and a nurturing and empathetic personality.

You will be there to support them emotionally, socially and academically. If you have worked with vulnerable children, young offenders, or children with challenging behaviour, we would love to hear from you.

Located in Romford, the school’s pupils are enthusiastic about learning and all staff are passionate about making a difference to children’s lives.

Their students are the centre of all they do, with learning activities driven by the interests and passions of children.

The primary school has parking on-site and is easily accessible by both bus and train.

Requirements: Experience working with SEMH needs, including vulnerable children, young offenders or children with challenging behaviour, Have a warm and nurturing approach when working with children, Be confident working with children with challenging behaviour ,

Available 8.30 – 3.30, Monday to Friday
