SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) – Havering

We are seeking an experienced SENCO to join a lovely school we work with from September, With one of their part-time SENCOs on long-term leave, they require immediate assistance to ensure the smooth running of the SEN department. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in SEN coordination and tribunal processes, particularly in advocating for funding support from Local Authorities. As the primary focus will be on supporting children with Autism, ASD, ADHD, and some emotional needs, experience in these areas is essential. The role involves liaising with families, staff, and external agencies to provide tailored support to meet the diverse needs of all students.

Requirement:-

  • Prior experience as a SENCO or similar role, preferably within an educational setting.

  • Strong understanding of SEN needs, particularly Autism, ASD, and ADHD.

  • Experience in writing tribunal letters and advocating for funding support.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders.

  • Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
