Special Needs Assistant

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00

Location: SEN School, London Borough of Tower Hamlets

Pay: Weekly (competitive rates)

SEN School is a secondary special school for students aged 11 to 19 with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). A significant proportion of our learners also have additional sensory and physical impairments, requiring a highly personalised and supportive approach to learning.

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with previous experience in PMLD settings to join our dedicated team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with complex learning, sensory, and physical needs.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication support.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver individualised learning programmes.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

🔹 Essential Requirements:

• Proven experience working with students with PMLD is required.
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable students.
