**About the Role:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team on a supply basis, working with autistic students in Wakefield. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with autism.

– Provide one-on-one support to students, adapting teaching methods to meet their individual needs.

– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

– Support students with personal care and social activities as needed.

– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to monitor and report on student progress.

– Utilize effective behavior management strategies to support students’ social and emotional development.

**Requirements:**

– Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly autism.

– Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent).

– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.

– Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

– Ability to manage challenging behaviors and remain calm under pressure.

– Flexibility and adaptability to work in various classroom settings.
