About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our special needs school in Leeds. This full-time role is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue for the rest of the academic year. You will be working with children who have autism and other special educational needs, providing essential support to help them thrive in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with autism and other special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Work closely with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly autism.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable.
