About the Role:

Career Teachers is seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants to join our team in a specialist setting. These full-time roles involve supporting learners with additional learning needs, providing essential assistance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored educational activities and interventions for students with additional learning needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs, if required.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional learning needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
