About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored support to students with autism on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes designed to meet individual needs.
- Encourage engagement, communication, and positive behaviour.
- Support students with social, emotional, and sensory regulation.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and wider support teams to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have essential experience supporting people with additional needs, particularly autism.
- Are patient, compassionate, and resilient.
- Can build trusting relationships with young people.
- Are reliable and able to work Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm, term time only.
- Are genuinely passionate about improving the lives and experiences of vulnerable young people.
