Full and Part Time Roles Available – Wetherby

At Career Teachers we are working with a Specialist Setting in the North of Leeds who currently need additional teaching assistants to join their team as soon as possible.

The school provides supports for students aged 3 to 19 years of age who have special educational needs; therefore, the ideal candidate will have a background of working with additional needs and be confident in their ability to provide a high level of support and care.

You will be working 1:1 with students who require extra assistance to stay engaged and access the learning at hand. We are looking for people who are patient, driven and empathetic, able to create positive relationships with students and therefore gain their trust.

At present we have full and part time roles available.

Role requirements:

• You must be confident in your ability to manage challenging behaviours and support students who have additional needs.
• Experience or knowledge of Autism is essential as you will be supporting students 1:1 who have autism and other additional needs.
• Flexibility and patience are essential, each child is different, you will need to adapt your approach accordingly.
• You must be dedicated and passionate about making a difference, the school are committed to ensuring that they provide everything each child needs to progress.

Role specifics:

• Working in school for students with special educational needs.
• Full or part time shift patterns available.
• These are temporary contracts with the view of becoming permanent.
• Pay is weekly and the daily rate is between £80 and £90 per day.
