Our client located in Leeds, are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their welcoming team.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and personal development of students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Individualised Support: Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal opportunities to thrive academically and socially.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with classroom teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to the overall educational experience of students.
  • Inclusive Learning: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment promoting the social and emotional well-being of students with SEN.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with parents/guardians, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on strategies for continued improvement.
  • Resource Management: Effectively utilise available resources, materials, and technology to enhance the learning experience for students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students is desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
