Teaching Assistant - Career Teachers

Career Teachers are supporting a mainstream secondary school in Manchester who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their school on a permanent basis.

You will join a dedicated team of staff who provide additional support both in the classroom and in the wider context of the school.

This post is working during term-time only. Routine working hours will be Monday to Friday, 6½ hours per day from 0830 until 1530, with a half hour unpaid lunch break.

Experience of working with pupils with a range of learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities is preferred but not essential. Applicants must possess excellent communications skills and have good levels of competency in Mathematics, English and ICT. Applicants must be team players and be able to relate to a wide variety of people including staff, parents and outside agencies. You must also be able to respond promptly to teachers working under pressure of time.

You must be willing to undertake additional training as required to support your own professional development.
