Join our team at Career Teachers and work as a teaching assistant at our partnership schools in Harrogate. Starting as soon as possible, you’ll work alongside dedicated educators, engaging with pupils and shaping the next generation.

We are looking for teaching assistants that have a strong work ethic, have engaging personality’s and have experience working in classroom based environments. Familiarity with the national Key Stage Curriculum, an understanding of child development and learning, excellent communication skills, adaptability, empathy, and dedication to promoting equal opportunities are the key qualities we seek in our teaching assistants.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensuring student safety and facilitating access to learning activities.
  • Contributing to education and behaviour plans.
  • Encouraging inclusivity and embracing diversity.
  • Setting high expectations for student achievement.
  • Providing feedback on student progress.
  • Upholding child protection policies.
  • Assisting with supervision outside of class.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Previous experience in teaching support.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Right to work in the UK.
