Pay Rate: £25,545 to £27,334 a year pro rata (actual salary £20,623.84 a year)

Job Description:
Career Teachers are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Special School in Derby. This post plays an important role in enhancing the opportunities for young people. This post would suit a passionate and motivated colleague who is experienced in working successfully with pupils, and looking forward to working with children with a range of social, emotional and mental health needs to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
* Support students’ social and emotional development.
* Help to prepare and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
* Monitor and record learners’ progress and provide feedback to parents/carers.
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour support.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents/carers, and other professionals to ensure a consistent approach to each child’s learning and development.
Skills and Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting children with SEND in a school setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
* Secure understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
* Relevant qualifications or training in Education and SEND support (desirable but not essential).
