Role: Day-to-Day Supply Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers is looking for dedicated and flexible Supply Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will support a range of schools in Burton on Trent and Derbyshire, working on a day-to-day basis to cover absences and provide essential support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support to children with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, ensuring all students are engaged and supported.
• Adapt to different school environments and year groups, providing consistent and effective support.
• Implement strategies to support the learning and development of children with SEN, as directed by the class teacher and SENCO.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student participation and interaction.
• Assist with personal care needs, if required, ensuring the well-being and comfort of the children.
• Communicate effectively with school staff to ensure a smooth and effective teaching experience.

Requirements:

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and year groups.
• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
