Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers have an unmissable opportunity available within a beautiful Primary school located within Derbyshire. They are seeking a full-time Year 2 teaching assistant to support 1:1 with Special Educational Needs from September.

Your role will be to support a child with challenging behaviour. You will be supporting them with their lessons to help improve their learning and development.

Due to the staff retention at this school, roles very rarely come up. The staff at the school are very friendly, welcoming, and supportive. You will feel part of the team as soon as you start at the school.

For this role, you will need to:

• Have previous experience of working in KS1
• Share an understanding of the importance of a child-centred approach to learning
• Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3, BTEC Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• Develop and promote positive relationships with children, adults, and other practitioners
• Plan deliver and evaluate teaching and learning activities under the direction of a teacher
• Support Literacy and Numeracy development
• Observe and promote pupil performance and development
