Are you passionate about supporting young children at the very start of their educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, well-resourced educational setting in Wakefield. This school is a warm and friendly independent school and the role will run from June 2026 until Easter 2027.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive team where you can make a real difference to children’s development in a structured and enriching environment.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support children within the EYFS framework, aiding their learning, development and well being
  • Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging activities
  • Help create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with Early Years children or a genuine passion for this stage of education
  • A level 3 or above childcare qualification
  • A caring, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliability and commitment to a full-time role
