We are seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Career Teachers on a full-time basis. This position entails providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at a reputable school in Burton-on-Trent. The role is temporary and facilitated through a renowned teaching supply agency.

Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Start Date: April 8th – 19TH July 2024
Duration: Full-Time Position


– Deliver personalised support and assistance to a child with special educational needs.
– Implement tailored teaching strategies and resources to foster academic and personal development.
– Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
– Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with relevant stakeholders.
– Uphold high standards of safeguarding and promote inclusively within the educational setting.


– Proven experience as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, preferably in an Early Years setting.
– Sound knowledge of various special educational needs and corresponding interventions.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
– Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
– Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or special educational needs (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning).
