Teaching Assistant (SEN/SEMH)

Career Teachers are working in partnership with an independent specialist day school in Higher Disley, Stockport, who wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join their team, on a permanent basis. This role is working 39 weeks per year, plus 6 weeks holiday to be taken during school closure periods.

Their highly experienced team is dedicated to providing outstanding education to children and young people aged between 7 and 16 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition, and ADHD, and have many associated needs such as; social, emotional and mental health needs, communication needs and cognition and learning needs.

Ideally, for this role, we are looking for someone who has experience of working with children who have ASC/SEMH needs, a passion for supporting young people to learn and develop but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. We would love to hear from you if you share their passion and commitment to developing confident and capable young people by meeting their educational, health and social care needs in structured, nurturing school and home provisions.
