**Job Title:** Superhero Special Needs Teaching Assistant

**Location:** Leeds (Because who doesn’t want to be a hero in a quaint Yorkshire town?)

**Salary:** Enough to make you smile every payday (£85 – £100 per day)

**Contract Type:** Full-time, Temporary (with the chance to become a permanent hero)

**Start Date:** September 2024 (or as soon as your cape arrives)

**Job Description:**

Are you a patient, empathetic, and slightly superhuman individual? Do you have the magical ability to turn tears into smiles and confusion into “aha” moments? If so, we want you on our team!

**Responsibilities:**

– Assist the class teacher in delivering magical, tailor-made educational activities (sparkles optional).

– Provide one-on-one support to students with autism, ensuring they can navigate the wild world of education.

– Be the ultimate sidekick, supporting the social and emotional development of our amazing students.

– Keep the classroom as organized as a superhero’s lair.

– Monitor and report on the progress of your young protégés (even superheroes need paperwork).

– Collaborate with a dynamic team of educators, therapists, and parents to create and implement individual education plans (IEPs).

**Requirements:**

– Experience working with children with special educational needs (a cape and mask are optional but encouraged).

– Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (or equivalent superhero training).

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (because even superheroes need to talk to each other).

– Patience, empathy, and a sense of humor (a must for dealing with small humans and occasional classroom chaos).

– A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one-every hero has to be vetted).
