Career Teachers are recruiting a talented and creative Early Years Teacher to join a lovely school in Wakefield’s Upper Foundation/Reception team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate should be hard working, with the ability to work effectively in collaboration with their designated year group partner and other designated class teachers.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking, ambitious team in a welcoming, friendly school. The school is located in WF4 and is easily accessible from Batley, Dewsbury, Wakefield and Huddersfield.

You will need to demonstrate quality first teaching, motivate and inspire pupils whilst setting high expectations. The successful candidate would be encouraged to play an active role in the wider part of the school where they will be supported by a team of friendly staff and lovely children.

The role is on a 0.4 part-time basis, with the working days Thursday and Friday.

Applications are welcomed from teachers across the experience range. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) will have an experienced subject mentor assigned from day one in post. Colleagues are supported through their Early Career years with regular checks ins from line managers and opportunities to meet with other ECTs across the Trust and colleagues from HR where any further support and guidance may be required. The right candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Experience teaching in Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and Early Years Framework effective teaching practices.
