Year 1 Teacher Vacancy – Chesterfield (S42 Area)

Position: Year 1 Teacher

Location: Chesterfield (S42)

Start Date: Monday, 2nd December

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (6-8 Weeks)

Pay: £120 – £200 per day (Dependent on Experience)

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher with a passion for primary education? A welcoming primary school in the S42 area of Chesterfield is seeking a skilled Year 1 Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that meet the Year 1 curriculum requirements.

* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to thrive academically and socially.

* Monitor and evaluate pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

* Maintain excellent communication with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to education.

* Support the development of early reading, writing, and numeracy skills through creative and interactive teaching.

* Uphold the school’s policies and values, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.

Skills and Experience Required:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, is highly desirable.

* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

* A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.

* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
