Year 4 Classroom Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Medium sized Leafy Leicestershire County Primary School, close to Broughton Astley

August 2024 – Oct 2024

Are you passionate about shaping young minds in a supportive and collaborative environment? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Year 4 Classroom Teacher to join our team on a full-time basis for maternity cover.


– Full-time role including paid PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) with a teaching partner

– Collaborative planning and sharing of resources with teaching partner

– Weekly break duty (15 minutes)

– Periodic assembly duty

– Attendance at staff meetings (1.25 hours per week)

– Attendance at October parents’ evening (1 evening, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm)


– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

– Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 4, is desirable but not essential

– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school environment

– Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff

– Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
