Youth Worker/Teaching Assistant

A specialist provision require a Youth Worker or Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to work on a 1.1 basis with a year 10 male pupil off site in Trafford, Greater Manchester. This funded role is required until at least Summer 2024, possibly beyond.

The successful individual will meet the young person at his alternative provision in Trafford, Greater Manchester, where he will attend for 3 days a week. He will then attend offsite activities for the rest of the week and the Youth Worker/Teaching Assistant will supervise.

The young person’s primary needs are Autism and ADHD so experience of these needs would be highly beneficial. This position is ideally suited to a person who has Youth work/Care/SEN Teaching Assistant experience. You will need to build relationships quicky whilst putting in firm boundaries. You will also be expected to liaise with the Youth Offending Team who are working with this young person to deter from criminal behaviour.

NB – Must be a driver and must be able to navigate public transport.
