Career Teachers has been supplying staff to schools in Leeds under various City Council Framework Agreements for the past 20 years. The most recent version of the framework agreement, called ‘The Framework for the provision of ‘Supply Teachers and Educational Temporary Agency Workers’ was introduced in 2021 and allows for the provision of temporary supply teachers and educational staff.

Through the framework, a Primary School in Leeds with 423 students contacted Career Teachers as they needed supply staff to meet the demands of the global pandemic. During that time many schools were forced to close, there were teachers shortages, and many teachers had decided to leave the industry altogether.

Career Teachers like to ensure quality of service. Having worked with the school previously and being an ex-primary school teacher, the consultant allocated to the project by Career Teachers, had a full understanding of which style of teaching and the type of teacher this school preferred. Career Teachers used their talent network to source over 37 experienced teachers and teachers’ assistants over a 15-month period.

The school was delighted with the calibre of candidates, because of this several of the temporary roles transitioned into long-term placements. To ensure customer satisfaction, Career Teachers have always ensured that they have met the school’s expectations, by providing staff quickly and efficiently to avoid any disruption in service to the schools and students.

The Primary School will continue to work with Career Teachers as a preferred supplier under the current framework agreement.
