Career Teachers are seeking a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about empowering young people and fostering creativity in learning.

Hours: Maximum of 30 hours per week Minimum of 18 hours per week.

Weeks: 39 Working Weeks – Permanent part-time, and full-time.

Location: East Midlands – Mansfield, Ilkeston and Nottingham.

Function of role:

  • To support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum.
  • To use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people.

Experience:

  • Two years’ experience of working with children and young people or vulnerable adults within an education, health or social care setting.
  • Demonstrate experience of developing effective resources for young people with additional needs.
  • Demonstrate experience of working with young people or vulnerable adults with additional needs

Education and Training:

  • To hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in an education, health or social care setting (e.g. relevant NVQ, PTLLs, A levels).
  • To be able to produce evidence of previous CPD (e.g. first aid, safeguarding training, diversity training, CAF/EHC training, IOSHH).
  • To hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 award/certificate in support work in schools/teaching and learning in schools.

Qualities:

  • Must hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a road worthy
  • Understand the importance of adhering to the organisation’s policies,
  • procedures and practices.
  • Be committed to delivering holistic family interventions.
  • Be driven to provide positive outcomes to children, young people and
  • vulnerable adults.
