Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join an infant school in DE13. This full-time role involves providing one-on-one support to two children with ADHD and attachment needs. You will play a crucial role in their academic and social development, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide individualised support to two children with ADHD and attachment needs.
– Implement and adapt learning strategies to meet the unique needs of each child.
– Assist with classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment.
– Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and monitor progress.
– Foster a positive and nurturing learning atmosphere.
– Support the emotional and social development of the children.

Requirements:

– Experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) children, particularly those with ADHD and attachment needs.
– Previous experience in an infant school setting is essential.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs.
– Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support is desirable.
