About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our vibrant primary school in Doncaster starting in September 2024. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on our students’ education and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting teachers in planning and delivering lessons
* Leading small group and one-to-one interventions
* Assisting in the assessment and tracking of student progress
* Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment
* Covering classes in the absence of the teacher
* Supporting students with special educational needs
* Participating in school events and extracurricular activities
Skills and Experience Required:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent
* Proven experience working in a primary school setting
* Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage and support student behavior effectively
* Commitment to inclusive education and the ability to adapt to the needs of individual students
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
