We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis in Trafford. This vibrant and supportive primary school in Trafford are committed to fostering a dynamic learning environment for all students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils, ensuring that every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to assist with lesson delivery, small group work, and individual support for pupils who may need additional help. Your role will be diverse, providing assistance across all areas of the curriculum, and helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with diverse learning needs
  • Help with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Assist with the planning of activities and educational trips
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Encourage and support the social, emotional, and educational development of pupils

What we’re looking for:

  • A passion for education and working with children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, adaptability, and the ability to engage with pupils from a range of backgrounds
  • Experience in a classroom setting, preferably as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
