Salary: £175+ per day (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are working with a dynamic and inclusive secondary school in East London seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons in their subject specialism across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that supports student progress and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons in line with the National Curriculum (all subject specialists welcome to apply)
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Assess, record, and report on student progress
• Maintain effective classroom management and uphold high standards of behaviour
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative teaching practices
• Support students’ academic and personal development
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school leadership
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – mandatory
• Proven experience teaching at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
• Professional, reliable, and punctual

Desirable

• Experience teaching in diverse, multicultural school settings
• Familiarity with GCSE exam specifications
• Ability to teach across multiple Key Stages
